A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Adamu Yahaya, widely known as Adam Fakai, has withdrawn his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. Fakai announced his decision on Friday, saying he would no longer promote the activities and programmes of the current administration after more than two years of doing so.

According to him, he spent his own money, time and effort travelling across the country to document and publicise Federal Government projects because he believed in the administration’s development plans. He said he carried out the work without financial backing, expecting that his commitment would be recognised by leaders of the ruling party.

Fakai, however, said he did not receive any form of support or encouragement from APC leaders at either the state or national level despite his efforts. He also claimed that some well-known political figures used photographs and videos of projects he documented without giving him credit or reaching out to him.

He said the lack of recognition led him to stop promoting the Tinubu administration. Fakai added that he believes he would have received better treatment if he had come from a different state.
Despite ending his support for the administration, the APC chieftain expressed gratitude to the individuals who stood by him and encouraged him throughout the period.
Fakai gained attention on social media through his visits to major Federal Government projects across Nigeria, where he regularly shared photographs, videos and reports on infrastructure and other development projects linked to the Tinubu administration.
