FCT Residents Praise Tinubu Over Ongoing Road Projects in Satellite Towns

Residents of Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory have expressed satisfaction with ongoing road construction projects across satellite towns, giving credit to President Bola Tinubu and the administration of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for the work being done in their area.

The comments were made during an inspection visit by the FCT Minister to the Kubwa-Gbazango road, also known as Arab Road, where construction work is currently ongoing. Some residents who spoke during the visit said they were pleased with the speed and quality of the project and noted that it is already improving access within the community.

One of the residents, Prosper Onyenaucheya, said the work being carried out shows strong attention to community needs and added that the development has been widely felt by people living in the area. He also linked the progress of the projects to the performance of the current federal administration.

During the inspection, Wike visited several ongoing projects including the Karu township roads, Apo-Karshi road, and the Kubwa-Gbazango road. He said many of these roads are expected to be ready for commissioning during the third year anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration.

The minister also said the FCT administration is continuing efforts to expand road networks across Abuja while improving cleanliness and order in the city through ongoing development work.

He later spoke on the progress at the Karu township road project, which stretches from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction, saying he was satisfied with the speed and quality of the work. He also noted that the project is being handled by a local contractor, Abdul Val Nigeria Ltd, and said the performance shows that local companies can deliver quality infrastructure when given the chance.

Wike added that the Kubwa-Gbazango road is also expected to be completed and ready for commissioning around June, based on assurances from the contractor handling the project.
